Kodak Will Rise with Sensor Camera Smartphone

KODAK IM5

If three years ago Kodak officially declared bankruptcy, last year the American manufacturer declares himself ready to rise under the leadership of CEO Jeff Clarke.

Many people are pessimistic with Kodak's imagination back into patron-tech industry. But Clarke, along with about 8,000 Kodak workers who survived have a strategy to progress Kodak.

Reported KompasTekno, Thursday (03/26/2015) from the NYTimes, Clarke said there are several technologies that are ready to work on Kodak from a few years ago but it seemed deliberately dianggurkan. One is a package of sensors for touch-screen smartphone. "We miss great opportunities," he said.

Now, along with 300 scientists and technicians working in the underground laboratory of Kodak, Clarke vowed will soon market a touchscreen smartphone sensors are cheap and competitive. However, it is not clear when the product will be hatched.

As is known, the camera sensor is a vital component in the smartphone. So far, Sony is known as a supplier of these components to various vendors of smartphones, including the iPhone.

Clarke recognizes the need of cooperation with several companies to realize the product.Currently, there are some investors who want to partner with Kodak. One is the company Serengeti.

"We are investing in Kodak because the company attractive, has a wealth of assets, and the incredible story in the field of technology, especially printing," said Jody LaNasa Serengetu founder.

Besides Sengeti, unisex Bobst, the Swiss maker of machinery for the card box that want to invest for Kodak. "Bobst interested in using Kodak digital printing technology in packaging our products. It's going to be a revolution for our products," said CEO Jean-Pascal Bobst.

To focus the smartphone sensor pack, Clarke has formed a new division, the Kodak Technology Solutions. "The challenge is, audiences have become more diverse," said Eric-Yves Mahe, the head of Kodak Technology Solutions.

That is, with a diversity of technologies and audience perspective, it is more challenging for the technology industry to accommodate all the needs of the audience in a single product.Let's wait at Kodak's latest product will be realized.
