OnePlus Ask for Assistance Funds to Silicon Valley


Android phones from Chinese vendors OnePlus requesting funding from investors in Silicon Valley to expand its product. One Plus plans to add up to 1,500 workers this year.

This was revealed by the founder OnePlus Carl Pei, who pioneered the company since 2013, with the help of six people.

"We lack the experience to develop our business further. So, we are actually talking with investors in the Valley," Pei said, as reported by Bloomberg and quotes Kompas Tekno, Thursday (16/04/2015). To fund definitely expected, Pei can not disclose.

So far, the company has spawned OnePlus One Android smartphone that has a high performance at a price much cheaper than the Samsung and Apple products.

Last year, OnePlus selling over one million units of smartphones. How to market different from the others, namely the spread invitation. Thus, only those invited are entitled to buy the product.

Looking ahead, OnePlus want to target more middle-class market with smart phones that suit the needs of its users. Gradually, OnePlus will boost its competitiveness against some sort Xiaomi manufacturers, Lenovo and Huawei.

This year, OnePlus confirm will spawn two models of smart phones with a sales target of three million units.

Next year, Pei targets to produce 10 times more types of smartphones this year, targeting sales of up to 10 million units. Later, how sales will be combined between invitation and online.
